Jon got out the floodlights soon after we arrived, and us youths went outside and played on the trampoline. If you haven't been jumping on a trampoline after two beers on a misty night in April, then you haven't lived. It was such a great icebreaker, too. Everyone was laughing and carrying on and I really felt like I was part of things.
Delsie, Simon's girlfriend, said that I should come back to PEI every March and April just so I can be in the play, too. I also exchanged some stories with Delsie and Jena.
We also had live music - Jon played piano and sang, and Jessica sang, and Uncle Shane played the drums! It was so cool. He just sat down and started playing, and he was pretty good. I didn't know he could do that.
So, in the end, the party was a lot of fun, and I have a few new friends. So mission accomplished. Too bad I'm leaving in a week. =) I can't wait for class to start. I think it will be a great opportunity to let loose creatively while actually accomplishing a few things.
