- My host parents owning a dryer.
- My laundry cycle being only six days long.
I've got a mountain of laundry to do, but in order to fit it all out on the line and still have a selection of outfits, I'm doing my loads like this: 35% of my jeans, 70% of my whites, 50% of my collared shirts, etc.. Later this week I'll come back and systematically take care of whatever's left.
As usually happens to me at times like these, I've become almost completely nocturnal. It is now nearly two in the morning and I will probably be up at least until the sun rises again.
I'd like to be able to hang some of my clothes indoors, as it would make things easier, but my mom hates it when I do that, mostly because she has art classes that need to make use of the area near the lanudry room. Also, she's told me what a nice day tomorrow's going to be and how quickly my clothes will dry. "Great!" I think.
Well, it's rather chilly and cloudy out right now... about -12ºC, actually. So I figure I'll check the forecast for tomorrow, in anticipation of this "nice" day ahead:
A "nice" day in December in Halifax:
"Tuesday: Sunny with cloudy periods. Becoming cloudy late in the day. Snow beginning in the evening. Wind becoming southeast 20 km/h in the evening. High minus 5."
Cedrick, forget Mexico, come on down here!
