I came home from Monika's extremely pissed off after inconveniencing her host father and missing the end of a great movie. I picked up a newspaper featuring my host father answering a question about municipal annexation, but only because I was irate with his rules - issues facing the city in which I felt trapped were the furthest thing from my mind.

My fingers soon led me to another article, this one about a University of Alberta islet transplantation research program for people with Type I diabetes. And there was, somewhere, the phrase, "screaming success." Unfortunately, there were also phrases such as, "five years," "located in Edmonton," and "Most people with Type I diabetes eventually develop one or more complications, including damage to the heart and blood vessels, eyes, nerves, and kidneys."

I stopped bitching, made a WAP post, then went to bed.
