The Living Impaired Official Press Release

Midnight Zombie Madness: The World Premiere of The Living Impaired

Michael Fox, creator of Film Amateura, is set to thrill us once again with his brand-new feature-length horror comedy The Living Impaired, playing one night only at midnight on Friday, June 24th, 2005 at the Oxford Theatre, located on the corner of Oxford and Quinpool. Admission is $6. If you like, you can come dressed as a zombie and compete for great prizes in our zombie costume contest, though you’re more than welcome to come as you are.

The Living Impaired stars Skratch Bastid, Charles T. Conrad, JuJu, Allison Leadley, Jonathan Saunders, and Joey Campbell, and features music by King Konqueror, Eddybulls, Blackout 77 and Martyrs Brigade that will rock you well into Saturday morning.

The movie is rated R for zombie gore, blood-letting, offensive language, sexuality, and suggestive dialogue, and the concession stand will be open for all your soda and Skittles needs.

You can also see popular rap DJ Skratch Bastid, as well as meet the man who was arrested for rehearsing in his apartment with a fake firearm – director Michael Fox! Michael’s previous feature, Film Amateura, screened twice at the Oxford and was also selected for the New York Film and Video Festival.

Can’t wait until Friday, June 24th for your midnight black-and-white zombie comedy fix? Download The Living Impaired trailer at http://www.livingimpaired.tk

See you all on the 24th!

Today I went into town to speak to some new CWY recruits. This was an educational experience for me, and a huge revelation: every program is different. The details don't matter, but I was really wowed by the whole thing. I think I leaned as much from the participants as they learned from Tyler and I. I also got some new fundraising ideas, and I think my attitude has improved a little. I'm still not convinced about the whole shock-and-scare mentality concerning warnings, though.

I e-mailed that girl... I need more distractions, because I keep thinking about when she'll write back. To combat this, I wrote myself a list of the worst that could happen if she never writes back. I'm getting nervous again, so I need to read it again. Let me share it with you:

- I'll eventually get to go out with someone who doesn't have a boyfriend.
- I'll be single and carefree in Ukraine in four weeks.
- I won't make a new enemy, namely her boyfriend.
- I'll have to wait six months to see her again, which might be just as well.

Really, it's nothing to worry about. I just need to remind myself that this obviously wasn't meant to be (a saying I dislike), but moreover, worrying won't help me.

It's not easy to stay positive all the time, but it's always worth it. But right now I'm positive I'd like a nap. Should I volunteer to suffer through Heike's slideshow first? She did make supper for us...
